HAMBURGERS
Cheeseburgers
300 - 320 g ground beef
½ tsp salt
1 ml pepper
4 hamburger buns or rolled oats rolls
mayonnaise
tomato ketchup or paste
lettuce (eg butterhead, ice lettuce)
thinly sliced or coarsely chopped onion
tomato slices
Cheddar cheese slices
butter
Prepare the hamburger buns or the rolled oats rolls. Season the mayonnaise with some tomato ketchup or paste.
Split the buns in half and warm them in the oven.
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and mix well. Divide the meat in four parts, each weighing about 75 to 80 grams. Form
into four very flat, round patties and briefly fry on either side in hot skillet.
Butter the bottom halves of the warm buns, place some lettuce and onion on top, then a slice of cheese, the hot hamburger steak, tomato slices and finally the top halves of
the buns, liberally spread with mayonnaise. Serve immediately.
Instead of deep-fried French fries/chips, serve the hamburgers with a bit healthier oven French fries or sesame potatoes.
Serves 4.
